JOB SUMMARY

The FOH Manager is responsible for managing the daily on floor operations of the restaurant including store appearance, customer experience and direction to all FOH staff. The FOH Manager reports to the General Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist the General Manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy.
• Coordinate operations and ensure schedules and objectives are met.
• Supervise and motivate staff while providing feedback and coaching to the team.
• Sets high standards for appropriate team behavior on shift.
• Flexibility in dealing with changes/problems (e.g., being short staffed).
• Delegates and follow-up effectively.
• Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, glassware, dinnerware and par levels on all guest use products.
• Manage and organize all cash and closing paperwork ensuring all tabs have been settled and reports balance.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations and securing daily revenue.
• Listen to inquiries and complaints of customers and work to resolve issues.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to effectively train and motivate staff.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to think fast regarding work related problems and come up with immediate solutions.
• Working knowledge of Excel and basic accounting ability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two years of relevant management experience.
• Knowledge of Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Proficient in daily restaurant functions and requirements.
• Knowledge of food safety and standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dealing with HR issues as they arise, including disciplinary write-ups.
• Monitor staff to ensure company standards are upheld.
• Lead by example and coach staff when needed.
• Ensure all company standards for beer, food and service are being met.
• Maintain appropriate staffing level for current sale numbers.
• Ensure staff are clocking in and out at appropriate times.
• Review open and closing duties with staff and complete a opening or closing walkthrough.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Open availability including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain an average of 50 plus hours a week.
• Ability to work long hours, standing for most of the shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
